Lille Bird lives on the remote Scottish island of Tornish, a crofter's daughter with a secret. Although she loves her island's wild seas and big skies, she dreams of leaving - for America and the freedom of the New World. Then, suddenly, the time for daydreaming is over. The new Laird of the island is cruel and dangerous. Little Bird must escape in search of a new life. But the journey is hard and what does the future hold for her?

We dispatch pre-orders on the date the book is published. We use Royal Mail second-class in the UK, and send books via standard international delivery to the EU and the rest of the world. In the UK delivery should take 3-4 days, in the rest of the world it could be a week or two.
